IUKL is proud to announce the appointment of Prof. Dato' Dr. Noor Inayah Ya'akub as the new President and Vice-Chancellor, effective July 1, 2021. As a practicing lawyer, academician and advisor to numerous boards, there is no doubt that her extensive experience and knowledge in the higher education industry, It will contribute to the future development of the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur Institute of intemation Exchange(IUKL). She served as the CEO and Director of the Islamic Council of the Private Baitulmal Professional College. During her tenure, she oversaw a number of major reform and transformation initiatives for the College, culminating in the provision of professional accounting and other professionally recognized quality education programs for low-income (B40) students. Her achievements and contributions also include significant improvements in the quality of teaching for low-income (B40) students, as well as the scale and impact of industry links that have placed the College's professional accounting and other professionally recognised programmes among the top colleges. Throughout her career, she has received several international awards and professional certifications. She was awarded The Golden Globe Tigers Award for Best Professor of Business Law in Malaysia in 2019. In the same year, she was awarded the prestigious Tokoh Maal Hijrah Wilayah Persekutuan Outstanding Scholar Category Award. Since then, she has been ranked 22nd on the UK Cambridge Financial Association's 2020 list of the 300 Most Powerful Women in Islamic Finance worldwide.
Professionally, she is currently a board member of the International Islamic College of Technology Penang, a state college
A higher education institution owned by the Board of Education, it is also a member of the Penang State Government Shura Council. In addition, the Selangor Islamic Religious Council has appointed her as a committee member of Baitulmal & Development
Through continuous hard work, she managed to overcome the pressures and expectations of a high position and career. Prior to this high position, she was active in representing Malaysia in higher education, the sustainable ecosystem of Islamic education, religious and charitable giving (Endowment and WAQF) at the national and international levels. Her outstanding leadership and academic knowledge have served many leaders well.
Academically, she received a Bachelor of Laws degree from the International Islamic University in 1993, followed by a second degree in Shariah Law in 1994
position. In 1997, she received a Master's degree in Business Law from the University of Bristol, UK, which is also among the top 5 law schools in the world. In 2005, she enrolled in the School of Law at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and received her Juris Doctor degree in three years.
She also holds numerous professional qualifications. in 2009, he received the Professional certificate of the 5th QS-Apple-Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education. In the same year, he received an Advanced certificate in Technology Transfer and Project Management from the University of Oxford. In 2012, he received a professional certificate (University research and teaching component) from the United Nations for leaders in the planning of selected higher education enterprises. In 2019, she received an Advanced Certificate from the School of Executive Education, Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge (Education Leader: Innovation and Strategies for future higher Education Leaders.
